Portuguese Train Stop
Digital Transit Ltd has recently been awarded a contract to be the safety assessor and software assessor against EN50129, EN50126 and EN50128 for a SIL2 train stop application in Portugal. The train stop will be fitted to maintenance vehicles and will read both balise messages and speed sensors. The train stop interfaces to an HMI, the brake controller and the traction supply.
Shanghai Metro
Digital Transit partnered with CRITICAL Software to conduct the independent safety assessment of the vehicles, track system and interfaces for the Shanghai Metro Line 8 Phase III Automated People Mover. This Bombardier and CSR Puzhen Joint Venture provided a turnkey BOMBARDIER INNOVIA APM 300 automated people mover system (APM) including 44 vehicles to Shanghai. These vehicles provide safe transportation in airports and dense urban areas all around the world. They are fully automated, able to cope with the bands of transporting millions of passengers each year.
Our assessment covered project plans, specifications, design tests and supplied products, as well as installation, commissioning and operations of the vehicles, the infrastructure and interfaces communication with other systems. Our work helped to achieve high safety levels in line with international standards
